Afropop, R&B, and Afrobeats musician and composer Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, better known by his stage name Camidoh, was born in Ghana on January 21, 1994.
Grind Don’t Stop Records signed Camidoh in 2018. The same year, Darkovibes and Camidoh collaborated on Camidoh’s debut track, For My Lover.The Best, which featured Kelvyn Boy, and Available, which starred Eugy, were later released by him. He released the song Dance With You in 2021, which featured Kwesi Arthur, a BET Award nominee. He released the six-track EP Contingency Plan (C.P.) in 2020.
Camidoh gave a performance at the Citi TV-hosted Entertainment Achievement Awards in March 2021.Contingency Plan (C.P.), his long work, was nominated for Album of the Year.Franklin Cudjoe, the chief executive officer of IMANI, gave him $500 in appreciation for his work and expressed his enthusiasm for him.
When he released his song Sugarcane in December 2021, he became well-known between 2021 and 2022. Following the inclusion of the song by the Ghanaian TikTok video makers community in their videos as a means of online promotion, the song started to gain greater traction.On Shazam’s top 200 most-searched Afropop songs list, the song came in at number 5. He released a remix of the song on April 8, 2022, with King Promise, Mayorkun, and British rapper Darkoo. Less than a month after its release, in the first week of May, the collaboration reached its highest position at the top of Nigeria’s Top 100 Music Chart on Apple Music.
